Lipstick rules

Come December and it is music season. One evening, K, T and I were headed out for a concert -- we were to drop T off for a play date on the way.

I was seated in the backseat with T, and I soon took out my lipstick and gloss and began applying. T asked me, "What, why are you wearing lipstick and all now?' I stared at her unsure of an answer or suitable retort. She went on..."Why should you wear lipstick and all to these carnatic musics places?"

I have no idea what she thought of the 'Carnatic musics places' but clearly, they did not demand make-up in her 5 year old books!
